2 p.m. - Ship's Company Theatre, Parrsboro, Nova Scotia - Author Cameron Royce Jess read from the award-winning novel "Bearer of the Chosen Seed" as part of the 2004 Ship's Company Theatre Reading Series. Also, a special guest appearance was made by illustrator Caitilin W. Pelletier of Parrsboro, who helped bring the story of Marie, Nicole, Gilles LeBlanc, Tieskerat and the others to life!

The
launch of the award-winning novel "Soul Voyage" by Cameron Royce
Jess was held in his home community! Cameron read from his novel which
captured the H.R. "Bill" Percy Award! After the ceremonial aspects
of the event have concluded Cameron was available to sign copies of the
novel and all enjoyed a good old-fashioned corn boil!

Author
Cameron Royce Jess read from "Soul Voyage" winner of the H.R.
Bill Percy Award. The reading took place in fairly close proximity to
Mount Hanley, where famed sea captain Joshua Slocum was born. Following
the reading a question and answer/book signing session was held.

Squadron, Purcells Cove, Halifax, Nova Scotia
The oldest and one of the most
distinguished yacht clubs in North America assembled for an evening with
author Cameron Royce Jess who read from his award-winning novel "Soul
Voyage." A question and answer session followed the reading. Cameron
was available to sign copies of this novel, which is based on the life
of Joshua Slocum, hailed as one of the greatest sailors of all time for
his feat of becoming the first person to sail alone around the world!
